Crisp lettuce for raw bacon?

  In a press release this morning it was announced by team TR's manager that their star rider was taken hostage the night after Covilha-Covilha while on his way to the airport. The team has kept this under wraps for the last few days while waiting for a ransom call from the people who took him. The ransom call came last night while the team waited with baited breath the assailants demanded 25K dollars cash to be delivered by Friday morning. The money will be wired to an offshore account. TR stated "We are currently short of these funds and have co captain Duncan Linton leading the team in the coming Swiss race Zurich LB hoping to secure a top 9 finish, while Jakob Wimbly took to panhandling on the streets of Portland. The team is really pitching all in to try to get Eddie back." It is unclear as of yet who the kidnappers were, but police are suspecting it is someone in the cycling community.
